Over the eight sessions, you will explore the islimi motifs, master the fundamentals and delve into intricate compositions as well as the rich history of symbolism behind the islimi motifs.

By the end of this course you will have achieved a deep understanding of the underlying structure of islimi patterns, mastering the principles of composition and fundamentals in Islamic illumination. Through hands-on practice and exploration, you will have developed the skills to create your own harmonious islimi design. In addition, you will learn to appreciate the traditional colour pallet and integrate colours into your design, enhancing your visual impact and depth.

Throughout the course, we will offer:

• Eight intensive live sessions, each lasting 120 minutes, and will be reordered.

• Access links to the recordings which will be sent to your email within a few hours after each live session.

• Participants will have the opportunity to submit their practice works to our tutor and receive the instructions and feedback individually.

• If you prefer to rely solely on the recordings due to your busy schedule or time  zone difference, you can still seek feedback and support from our tutor.
